At first they didn't want to, then they considered it 'seriously' anyway, and now the head of Hyundai's N department says no to the N Vision 74 concept again.
It goes up and down at Hyundai. While down . At least for those who had hoped that the South Koreans would make something out of the N Vision 74 concept.
After the presentation of the car in July 2022, it otherwise left Hyundai seriously considering putting the retro-inspired sports car into production.
You can read more about the technology behind the car here. But we're not giving too much away by saying it's a tribute to a very old Hyundai. And that Hyundai says the concept has almost 700 horsepower.
But one thing is what Hyundai says. Something else is what they mean. And right now, Hyundai doesn't mean anything with the N Vision 74.

This was told by the head of the N department in particular, Albert Biermann, which Hyundai acquired from BMW back in 2014.
– Yes, it's nice. But how many do you want to see on the street?
– We are Hyundai N. We do not make show cars. We want to make cars for the children, for the enthusiasts and at an affordable price. Also when it comes to track day characteristics, Biermann told Carscoops .
Albert Biermann says at the same time that Hyundai is not interested in building a car for 300,000-400,000 dollars just to get a few days of publicity in the media.
