Huge star wants to leave Red Bull's Formula 1 team

He is the man behind Red Bull's success in Formula 1, at least when it comes to the racing cars. Now Adrian Newey wants to leave, writes the BBC.

Neither Red Bull nor their technical genius of a designer will say anything.

But according to the English BBC it is good enough. Adrian Newey is on his way away from the Formula 1 team, whose skills have helped him to numerous victories in the sport already.

Adrian Newey has been with Red Bull since 2006, meaning he has helped both Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen win world championships.

But according to BBC Sport, the 65-year-old Englishman has had enough. According to sources that the media refers to, Adrian Newey must have already informed the Red Bull top that he is on his way out of the doldrums.

And preferably before the current contract between the parties expires in 2025. However, the fact that the brilliant Englishman wants to break with Red Bull does not necessarily mean that he is ready for retirement.

According to several media, Aston Martin is ready to offer Adrian Newey an inexhaustible cash tank. But Ferrari and Mercedes are also said to be more than usual interested in Newey's abilities.

However, Red Bull are not the only ones who (perhaps, ed.) make interesting changes in the garage. This week it was confirmed that Nico Hulkenberg is past the Haas garage after this season.

According to the Danish Formula 1 commentator Jens Hansen, however, it is only good news for Kevin Magnussen.

And although it paints a clear picture of how well Hulkenberg has done after his comeback to a full-time Formula 1 seat.

– There is no doubt that the change strengthens Kevin Magnussen's opportunities to drive for Haas in 2025, says Jens Hansen to TV3.
