Huge deal: US buys billions of cars from Tesla

Tesla is certainly benefiting from the change of power in the US. The Trump administration has decided to buy armored electric cars from the car brand for billions.

Tesla and the United States have entered into a comprehensive agreement, in which the US State Department will acquire armored Tesla vehicles worth billions of kroner.

At the same time, there is focus on Elon Musk's administrative initiatives, which involve cost reductions and changes in various organizations.

Tesla has landed a major contract with the US government. The US State Department has placed a large order for armored Tesla models.

The order amounts to 400 million dollars, corresponding to approximately 2.8 billion Danish kroner.

This is reported by Drop Site News .

This agreement comes at the same time that Elon Musk has initiated a number of controversial savings programs within the US government apparatus.

Among other things, the environmental authorities, which are responsible for ensuring that car brands do not cheat, have been told to lay off at least 1,000 employees. Read more about it here.

Musk's actions have caused quite a stir and sparked debate about an ineffective public administration in the United States. Among other things, Musk has shut down the American aid organization USAID.

Furthermore, there are reports that several American officials are concerned about their jobs as a result of these changes.

Elon Musk has previously spoken out about potential conflicts of interest in connection with his various companies receiving public contracts from the same agencies that the companies are subject to supervision.

Musk, however, does not believe there is anything to be gained. Musk has also noted that he is not personally involved in contracts between his companies and the US government.

– You have to look at the individual contract, says Musk.

It is important to note that there is direct evidence that Musk wants to mess with the spending in the US government that he himself has criticized so vehemently.

Among other things, the billionaire has pointed out what he describes as "lush waste" when authorities allegedly spent $59 million on luxury hotels to house migrants.

It is unclear, however, whether these specific expenses will be affected by the ongoing cost-cutting exercises. It may sound strange, however, that the US is choosing to spend millions of dollars, billions of kroner, on Tesla models right now.
