Ford has already designed the concept car, and now the brand is serious about the idea of a four-door sedan with the name Mustang. An off-roader is also on the way.
Face it – the Ford Mustang as we know it is dead. In any case, that todor's pony car is no longer the only one with the Mustang name.
Ford has already given the name to an electric car. And now they are trying a four-door Mustang with a combustion engine.
That's what Automotive News writes.
The media believes that the brand has shown a prototype of the car to a number of dealers at an event in Las Vegas.
In addition to a four-door sedan, the current two-door version also gets an off-road version with four-wheel drive, larger tires and wider fenders. Somewhat in line with what both Porsche and Lamborghini are doing. Read more about it here .

Ford reportedly sent both its CEO Jim Farley and chairman Bill Ford to Las Vegas. All to convince dealers that a four-door Mustang is a good idea.
It is not known which engine is in the four-cylinder Mustang. But according to Automotive News, it is at least an internal combustion engine. In this context, Ford in Europe, which is now largely controlled from the USA, has announced that it will not only sell electric cars within the EU's borders in 2030 after all.
However, Ford stubbornly sticks to the Mustang. That while competitors such as General Motors and Stellantis drop the idea of a muscle car. Dodge no longer has a V8-powered Charger, and Chevrolet no longer has the Camaro at all.
However, Ford has assured its customers and the outside world that it will continue to build Mustang models with a V8 engine. "If we're going to be the last to do it," Jim Farley said back in January.
