Director cried – Famous and closed car factory empty of parts

Although the Swedish Saab festival only officially begins today, hundreds of people have already lined up outside the car brand's closed factory. The director was reduced to tears.

Hundreds of Swedes and foreign Saab fans lined up outside the closed Saab factory in Trollhättan, as this week there was an auction of a lot of spare parts from the factory's warehouses.

A warehouse sale in other words. But a stock sale which became something of an afterthought. In any case, the director of NEVS, Nina Selander, who tried to get a car production started at the factory, says that she was very upset about the crowd.

This is written by the Swedish media TTELA .

Someone had gone to bed already at 08 in the morning in the hope of bringing whole cars home. Others had 'only' selected individual parts.

80-year-old Frederik Norberg had to, among other things, pay SEK 13,000 for a set of headlights for his very special 9-3 Aero. Read more about that car here.

But others, for example a Dutchman had landed in Trollhättan on the day of the auction, did not get what they had come for. Nevertheless, Nina Selander is now very happy that the parts were emptied and that they now live on in the hands of real Saab enthusiasts.

Incidentally, it is not the only new thing from that side. Recently, NEVS withdrew a deal with the last car that managed to be developed at the factory. Read more about it here .

By the way, did you know that the last car with the Saab logo was ever sold to a Dane? It is good enough. Danish Claus paid the highest price when the car was auctioned in 2019.

To be precise, the man from Hadsund in Jutland paid 465,000 Swedish kroner, a good 325,000 Danish kroner at the current exchange rate, for the car – a 9-3 Turbo from 2014.
