Dansker ordered 300 cars from Fisker – only one was delivered

Lau Mikkelsen, marketing director at taxi and charging company Viggo, says that the company ordered 300 new Fisker Oceans. It only became one.

The Danish taxi and charging company Viggo ordered 300 Fisker Oceans in 2020. At the time, both companies boasted about the deal in various press releases.

4 years later, Fisker Inc. ready to go bankrupt, and Viggo has only had one car delivered. This is what the taxi company's marketing director Lau Mikkelsen tells Motor magazine .

In front of the media, however, the director does not have much desire to elaborate on the agreement with Fisker. But he emphasizes that the Danish company has no financial relationship with Fisker.

Otherwise, there are enough people and companies that have. At a court in Austria, where Fisker had a subsidiary company and was otherwise allowed to build cars, a towering billion-dollar claim has been raised against the car brand.

– A new agreement was made for ten Fisker Ultras for Viggo, but this was never realized for obvious reasons, writes Lau Mikkelsen to Motor magazine.

According to information from the news agency Reuters, in 2023 Fisker managed to produce 10,000 cars at the factory in Austria. However, less than half of these were sold and delivered to customers.

However, several thousand of the cars have been sold at something close to scrap price to an American leasing company. From the agreement, which has been approved by the American legal system, it appears that the leasing company must in future maintain contact with an American association of Fisker Ocean owners.

But this does not mean that the leasing company will roll out any future updates to the electric cars to anyone other than themselves. Read more about it here .

Meanwhile, the price of Fisker Ocean has just continued to rattle down. An American was recently able to say that he has bought a brand new Ocean with just 500 kilometers on the odometer for the equivalent of 70,000 kroner.

At home and in the other Nordic countries, the owners are generally at their mercy. Blue. because several insurance companies are now announcing that they will not insure more new customers with Fisker's cars.

Fisker Inc. is so far from the only car brand – or for that matter company in the car industry – that is in trouble. One of the car brands that otherwise dreamed of coming to Denmark had to announce last week that it has run out of money.

However, a whole year had to pass from the time production stopped until you had to file for bankruptcy. Read more about it here .

BBS and Recaro, other really big names in the car industry, are also on the way to bankruptcy. For BBS, it will be the fifth time in the company's history.
