Danish car dealer believes Fisker will survive bankruptcy

Fisker Inc. has filed for bankruptcy in the United States. At home, however, a car dealer believes that the brand will survive.

Henrik Bollerslev, who owns the car dealer Lindholm Biler, made a bet months ago and bought cars from the bankrupt car brand Fisker.

Since then, Lindholm Biler has claimed that it is surprised by the sales of 35 cars so far since 1 May.

And even on top of this week's news that Fisker has now sought bankruptcy protection, the Danish car dealer does not believe that it will actually end in bankruptcy.

He tells, among other things, that for TV2 and Motor magazine .

Henrik Bollerslev is convinced that the company will come out on the other side and that there is an investor ready to resurrect the remains of Fisker Inc. Without naming possible investors, Bollerslev mentions that a rescue may come from China.

Conversely, Fisker's negotiations with Nissan collapsed. It is a new ill-fated attempt to ingratiate oneself with another car brand, which now gets Fisker Inc. to seek protection from his creditors. Bloomberg writes.

And the car factory Magna Steyr does not believe that the production of Fisker's cars will ever start again.

The factory in Austria has fired 500 employees for the same reason, and the latest accounts show that the company expects to lose DKK 2.7 billion because Fisker is no longer seen.

Should Henrik Fisker end up going bankrupt with Fisker Inc., it will not be the first time he has experienced this kind of thing. Both of his former car companies closed.

The worst was for the Danish designer's body imager company, Fisker Coachbuild, which closed after just two years in the air in 2007.

In the same year, Fisker Automotive came into being, but also had to turn things around in 2014. That's how long the successor Fisker Inc. survived. also. But only just right.

Right now, Fisker Inc. down to just 150 employees. And even they have the prospect of immediate dismissal if Fisker Inc. ends up as a bankruptcy estate.

At the same time, a leaked email shows that Fisker is trying in every possible way to get rid of the stock of cars from last year's production that have not yet been sold. Among other things. by offering employees cars for DKK 150,000. Read more about it here .
