Ford's premium brand in the US, Lincoln, is having such a hard time selling their cars that dealers around the country are on fire with them.
There are new cars on the way from Lincoln. But maybe the brand should step on the brakes. The dealers cannot sell the current ones.
That's what Auto News writes.
According to data from Cox Automotive, the various Lincoln dealers have stocks of the 'Navigator' model in particular that they just can't get rid of.
There are brand new cars from 2022 and 2023 that have not yet found any owners. This corresponds to over 33,000 new cars.

On the American part of the sales site Autotrader, a dealer in Northern California can find a Navigator that has been for sale for a total of 391 days.
So now Lincoln is trying to throw money at drivers to get them to buy the many derelict cars.
In the first two months of 2024 alone, the brand has been willing to cut almost 5,000 dollars, equivalent to 34,500 kroner, from the price per new car.
A discount that is 65 percent higher than the one Lincoln was willing to give on top of the deal just a year ago. That's not the only bad news for Lincoln, though.
The brand's dealer network in the US alone has been drastically cut. At the beginning of 2022, there were thus 637 Lincoln dealers around the country. According to the plan, that number must be cut to 400 or fewer already this year.
