Car dealers get million-bode – snod over 1,000 motorists

In New York, the state attorney has concluded that five Nissan dealers must pay up to 13 million Danish kroner in a settlement for defrauding more than 1,000 customers.

Illegally inflated prices disguised as taxes to the state.

It was just one of the tricks used by a number of Nissan dealers when they tricked more than 1,000 customers into buying artificially expensive cars.

This is what New York's Attorney General, who can be compared to a state attorney at home, has come to.

In total, the authorities have concluded that the dealers have lured too much money out of the pockets of a total of 1,138 motorists who initially leased cars.

Cars that drivers were then 'persuaded' to buy at very, very high prices. Carscoops writes that.

The investigation by the authorities has since made it clear that the car dealers have been cheating and deceiving for three whole years, namely in the period between 2020 and 2023.

For example, customers were charged a fee of up to 500 dollars extra for the registration certificate. Registering a car in New York basically costs no more than 50 dollars, equivalent to 345 kroner.

In the most egregious cases, drivers have been charged as much as 7,000 dollars, 48,000 kroner, too much in fees just to be able to buy the used leased cars.
