Car brand loses director – leaves Denmark after 4 years

The Danish division of Chinese Volvo Cars is to have a new director. The previous one was in the post for a good four years, but has found a new job.

The Danish division of Chinese Volvo Cars is to have a new director.

After 4 years in the post, Sarka Heyna Fuchsova moves from the position of managing director of the Danish department to a similar job in the Czech Republic.

This is stated by Volvo Cars in the Czech Republic on LinkedIn .

In an interview with Motor magazine, Sarka Heyna Fuchsova says that "it has been a pleasure to be a director here in Denmark".

At the same time, she believes that it will be difficult to say goodbye. Fuchsova was responsible when Volvo in Denmark decided to stop the sale of diesel and petrol cars with immediate effect.

That was in September 2022. Since then, the Chinese brand has produced its irrevocably last car with a diesel engine. It happened at the Torslanda factory back in March this year.

Exactly when the petrol cars will also be phased out is still unknown. But Volvo wants to have built its last car with a combustion engine before 2030.

However, not everyone is as enthusiastic about Volvo Cars as the director who is now leaving Denmark. Actually quite the contrary.

A Swedish researcher and professor directly warns against sharing secrets in newer Volvos. The Chinese, he says, are listening. Read more about it here .
