BYD Dolphin Surf could become Denmark's cheapest electric car

The Danish importer has not yet announced the price, but most major media outlets report that the BYD Dolphin Surf outside of Denmark costs just 100,000 kroner.

It has a slightly different name, depending on who you ask. But in Denmark, the Dolphin Mini/Byd Seagull is called BYD Dolphin Surf.

And it could be the cheapest electric car in Denmark to date. A quick Google search shows that most international media outlets estimate a price of around 14,000 euros here in our latitudes.

That's 105,000 Danish kroner when everything is paid.

For that kind of money, you shouldn't expect to get any rocket power. Not even if the Dolphin Surf is a pure electric car.

The engines in the Active and Boost versions produce 88 hp and go from 0-100 km/h in 11.1 seconds, while the Comfort model gets 156 horsepower.

The importer states this in a press release .

All three variants have a top speed of 150 km/h, which makes DOLPHIN SURF suitable for both highway and city driving. That is according to the importer.

The new BYD Dolphin Surf will be launched in Denmark on May 24/25. Prices have not yet been determined, but will be announced soon.
