Audi's new car brand is called Audi

Audi's new car brand is simply called AUDI. So written in block letters. However, only the Chinese can buy the cars that are built on technology from the SAIC group.

In an attempt to strengthen its position in the Chinese market, Audi is launching a new car brand. The brand, aimed exclusively at Chinese consumers, will carry the name AUDI. Written in capital letters.

Audi in Germany also says that AUDI wants to separate itself from the rest of the model range in terms of design, so that it does not become a traditional Audi. The four rings that normally make up Audi's logo will not be found on the new cars. Boosted already wrote about it earlier this year .

To illustrate the new design language, Audi has presented the Audi E-Concept concept car. The car has a design with rounder and more undulating shapes than those typically associated with Audi, and the instrumentation is dominated by large screens. The E-Concept has a length of 4.87 metres, which corresponds to the size of an Audi A5 Avant.

The new AUDI is an electric car with a range of 700 kilometers and a 100 kWh battery. The car is the result of a collaboration between Audi and the Chinese car manufacturer SAIC.

– By launching this new brand for electric and intelligent models in China, Audi is breaking new ground to enter new and more technologically savvy customer segments, says Audi's managing director Gernot Döllner.

The new car brand is a strategic move on Audi's part to meet the specific demands and expectations of the Chinese market.

China is one of the world's largest markets for electric cars, and with AUDI, Audi hopes to attract a new group of customers who are interested in advanced technology and a unique design. In any case, something must be done, because the group's latest accounts are grim reading. Audi's profits have fallen by as much as 92 percent.
