24-year-old tried to cheat Tesla for one and a half million kroner

A 24-year-old man initially succeeded in defrauding Tesla of DKK 765,000. But when he tried again, the trap clicked.

The 24-year-old Fouad Kemal was a little too smart. He probably thought he had found a loophole in Tesla's own systems when, with a fake ID and fake bank details, he managed to acquire a new Model Y.

A car he ordered through Tesla's app and picked up directly from the brand in the US state of Georgia back in December last year. That without so much as paying one kroner/dollar.

This is written by Fox 5 Atlanta .

The car costs 112,000 dollars, equivalent to 765,000 kroner. Already at the beginning of January, Fouad Kemal thought he could do the same thing with Tesla. Even the same place.

Here, however, the staff could recognize him, and they quickly called the police, who charged the 24-year-old with fraud and theft.

The authorities tell Fox 5 Atlanta that they are currently investigating whether the 24-year-old fraudster had two co-conspirators who are also to be charged in the case.

At the same time, the police say that Tesla has not yet been able to find the Model Y, Fouad Kemal actually managed to run away with it back in December.
