We build the world's most efficient electric car, says the car brand

Lucid Air is already a 3 year old car. But now improvements have made it the world's most fuel-efficient, if the brand has to say so.

American Lucid began producing the Air model four years ago. The first cars were delivered the following year. But the brand already claims to have the world's most fuel-efficient electric car.

At least when compared to other series-produced electric cars in Air size. Specifically, Lucid says that the new Air Pure, which has an 84 kWh battery, can cover 676 kilometers on a single charge.

This is what the brand says in a press release .

Converted, this means that the new Lucid covers 8 kilometers per hour. kilowatt hour. In comparison, a Tesla Model S covers 6.4 kilometers per hour. kilowatt-hour, while the Rivian R1S manages 4.3 kilometers.

Here it must be added that the Mercedes Vision EQXX manages 13 kilometers per hour. kilowatt hour. And although it is far more than both Lucid, Tesla and Rivian, it is still a number outside the category. EQXX is nothing more than a prototype.

No matter how you twist and turn the result, Lucid is now using it to knock on the competition. So with a call to build smaller but more energy-efficient battery packs for electric cars.

Lucid then also needs something that the competitors do not have. Because the American car brand is burning through the finances incredibly quickly. In fact, the brand loses hideously large sums of money every time the factory builds an electric car. Read more about it here .

Conversely, it is not the only Americans who are currently passionate about electric cars. The General Motors group has recently had to admit that there is no market for 1 million electric cars.

And at Ford, you lose DKK 1 million per electric car that is produced instantly. Nevertheless, the company will 'force' its employees to choose electric cars. Read more about it here .
