Nio promises super batteries for electric cars already this year

The Chinese car brand Nio, which has gone dormant in Denmark, elsewhere promises a battery pack similar to solid-state technology already this year.

Chinese Nio is ready with a solid state battery already this year.

In any case, Chinese media write that the brand will be ready with a 'semi solid state' battery already this summer. Most definitely in the month of June.

The battery pack is said to cost the same as the Nio ET5, which is a five-door sedan model. On the other hand, cars with the battery will be able to cover 1,070 kilometers on a single charge.

However, Nio will not sell cars with the battery technology. Instead, the brand will only rent them out at the so-called Nio Powerswap stations. Of these, there is one in Denmark near Slagelse.

Whether the new battery will come to Denmark and thus Slagelse is highly doubtful. When Nio went to sleep in Denmark, it was with a farewell to the top director here at home.

Shortly before, several rank-and-file employees had been cut, and now Nio is concentrating its efforts on the Nordic market in Sweden.

However, Nio will not answer how many of the remaining employees will have to handle the car brand's almost ghost-like presence in Denmark. Still, the new director denies that Nio is going away. Read more about it here .
