Elon Musk fires everyone in brand new Tesla department

Elon Musk admits that Tesla's marketing department has not done well enough. Therefore, all employees have now been fired.

Tesla has no PR team in the US. And now the car brand has no marketing department either. The department, which was otherwise recently established internally in the car company, is now a thing of the past.

Bloomberg writes that.

It is happening as part of Elon Musk's plans to fire more than 10 percent of Tesla's employees around the world. Plans that became public knowledge last week.

According to Bloomberg, sources 'close to Tesla' say that the entire marketing team, which consists of 40 employees led by senior manager Alex Ingram, is now a thing of the past.

On his own social media "X", Elon Musk confirms the criticism that has been made of the work of marketers.

– It is true. The commercials were far too generic. It could have been advertising for any car, says a post from the Tesla director.

Conversely, more "X" users have offered Tesla help with the cases now that there are no marketers anymore. Some of them will even do it for free, they write.

After all, Tesla is going through a tough time right now. Quite shortly after, among other things, the prices in the Danish model program were otherwise raised, they have been lowered again.

This is due, among other things, to the fact that Tesla's sales have fallen by as much as 13.3 percent during the first quarter of 2024. At least when compared to the same period last year.

However, a poor sale is not everything. Tesla's announcement that 10 percent of employees will be off duty could have been much higher. According to Bloomberg, Elon Musk would lay off 20 percent of all Tesla employees.

Conversely, he and the board want the brand's shareholders to approve a crazy salary package. Something that Musk actually took the board's word for back in 2018. Read more about it here .
