Ford F-150 comes to Denmark – costs almost 1 million

The Ford F-150 will soon be Danish. A car dealer has decided to bring the legendary car to Denmark. However, at a price starting at almost 1 million kroner.

The large American pickup, the Ford F-150, is now available in Denmark. The car dealer Nielsen Car Group has brought the F-150 Lariat and F-150 Raptor models to this country.

As a model, the F-150 has been the best-selling pickup in the United States for 40 years.

The Swedish company Hedin US Motors is responsible for importing the cars to Europe. Nielsen Car Group handles sales on the Danish market.

Those interested can see the cars at Bjarne Nielsen in Horsholm. They are also on display at Bilernes Hus in Silkeborg.

Ib Skov, business manager at Nielsen Car Group, is not slow to call it iconic.

– The Ford F-150 is not just a car. It's an icon.

– We are extremely proud to be able to bring it to Denmark and can already feel the interest from customers, he says in a press release .

Ford F-150: For off-road and heavy-duty tasks

The Ford F-150 is a significantly larger vehicle than the Ford Ranger model. The F-150 measures 5.90 meters in length. In comparison, the Ranger model is 5.37 meters long.

The size also gives the F-150 a different towing capacity. It can tow up to 3,500 kg.

The car is equipped with modern technology. The technology helps the driver when driving with a trailer.

The pickup is built to handle a variety of terrain. It uses a suspension type known from demanding off-road races.

This applies, among other things, to the American race Baja-1000, where similar systems are used.

Prices and Danish launch of the Ford F-150

Nielsen Car Group expects the F-150 to be a niche product in Denmark. They do not expect a large sales volume.

Ib Skov estimates annual sales of around 20 to 30 cars. "It's a niche product, so it has to be sold as a niche product," he says.

The target group is primarily professional users, including contractors and tradesmen.

However, Ib Skov also opens up the possibility for private enthusiasts.

– It may be that there are some incarnate people who would like to have such a car, he adds.

"But basically it will come with yellow plates," explains Ib Skov. This means that the car will primarily be sold for commercial use.

The price for a Ford F-150 Lariat starts at 679,000 kroner plus VAT. The more off-road Raptor model has a starting price of 975,000 kroner plus VAT.

Prices reflect the car's size, capacity and equipment level.

Both F-150 models are expected to be ready for sale in Denmark at the end of June.

The car was recently shown to the public at the Transport Fair in Herning from April 3rd to 5th. There was also the opportunity to test drive the large pickup.

Ford is known for many popular car models. At Boosted.dk you can read more news and tests of different Ford models. You will also find articles about other large pickups and special vehicles on the Danish market.
