Car brand went bankrupt in January – now the entire factory is being sold

Back in January, Dutch Voitures Extravert, which converted classic Porsche models into electric cars, went bankrupt. Now the receiver is trying to sell the cars from the warehouse and factory.

After the Dutch car brand Voitures Extravert went bankrupt back in January, the estate's trustee is now trying to get rid of everything from the factory. Including the cars from the warehouse.

Voitures Extravert tried to specialize in the conversion of classic Porsche models, but in January it had to admit that the business basis was gone.

The Dutch did not build cars from scratch, but focused on converting older Porsche 911 models into electric cars.

Although the Netherlands doesn't have many car manufacturers, Voitures Extravert was one of those that tried.

And this is actually just the latest Dutch car project to go bankrupt. Back in April 2023, another car factory was emptied and sold after bankruptcy. Read more about it here .

At Voitures Extravert, they believed that the market for this type of converted car existed. But it turned out to be far less than something that could be built on.

Everything from the small car factory to be sold after bankruptcy

This resulted in the company filing for bankruptcy in January of this year.

Since then, it has been an open question what should happen to the small car factory, their inventory and, above all, the converted cars.

As a result of Voitures Extravert's bankruptcy, the company's entire inventory and equipment are now being sold.

The auction is taking place via the Troostwijk platform. Here it is possible to bid on the finished and unfinished electric Porsche cars as well as tools and other production equipment that the company used in its production.

This is a consequence of the economic situation that led to the company's bankruptcy.

Among the items on offer is an electric Porsche 911 SC from 1979 that is reportedly ready to drive.

In addition, a 911 SC Targa from 1977 is on the list of items from the bankruptcy estate. The car looks almost complete. However, it is missing its interior.

Both cars are built around a 59 kWh battery and an electric motor that produces 394 horsepower and 1,025 Nm.
