Jeremy Clarkson reveals serious problems

Jeremy Clarkson has seen better days. His health in particular has been lagging. And now it has taken another dip after he has been on weight loss medication.

Jeremy Clarkson has gotten into trouble for being on the weight loss drug Ozempic.

He writes that himself in a column .

The well-known TV host's health has been a more or less public matter for some time.

Jeremy Clarkson has also been very open about the fact that he has had to change his lifestyle.

This was particularly clear to him when he underwent emergency heart surgery in October last year.

In an attempt to lose weight and live healthier, the TV host has taken several different medications to reduce her appetite.

Two years ago, Jeremy Clarkson took Ozempic, and in his column in The Times he now describes that he experienced severe nausea during that period.

– My body lost the ability to handle gluttony, but when the initial enthusiasm wore off, my mind still wanted to eat Cadbury Fruit & Nut for breakfast.

– That meant I threw up a lot.

Ozempic was originally developed to help patients with type 2 diabetes, but it has since been used by people who want to lose weight.

However, the nausea didn't make Jeremy Clarkson eat less. On the contrary, he found that he ate more afterwards.

– After six months, during which I had gained about three kilos, I gave up, he explains.

The availability of medicines such as Ozempic for weight loss is under ongoing review. The drug Wegovy is available through limited specialist schemes. At least in the UK.

The drug Mounjaro was also approved for use by the English authorities in December 2024. The goal is for it to be available for purchase in the same way as Novo Nordisk's Ozempic.

After stopping Ozempic, Jeremy Clarkson tried Mounjaro, and according to him, it has made the pounds disappear.

However, Clarkson writes that he finds it difficult to stay away from his favorite dishes and meals.

"You find yourself living a minibar life," he writes, mentioning that a small portion of sunflower seeds could be enough to fill him up.

– It's not something to live on. But you can exist.

His use of weight loss pills comes months after Jeremy Clarkson revealed he had emergency heart surgery. He previously wrote that he wanted to 'do everything in my power not to die' after becoming a grandfather to his daughter Emily's two children.
