Should be in Denmark – has sold 0 cars this year

Lucid Motors, which several years ago said they wanted to go to Denmark, is experiencing such poor sales further north that it has sold 0 cars this year.

Keep in mind, only 2 – almost 3 months – have passed since 2025. But Lucid Motors has not sold a single car. At least not to Norwegians.

The brand, which opened pre-orders in Denmark in 2022, has since withdrawn the option. Perhaps because things are going really badly in Norway.

The brand settled here in March 2023. But things have been going smoothly ever since. In 2024, it was four cars, and during the first months of 2025, the importer has not sold a single car.

This is written by Norwegian Bilbransje24 .

And this despite the fact that at the end of last year, Lucid launched a car loan with just 3.99 percent interest and even without a down payment.

To boost sales, the car brand is now lowering the interest rate to just 0.01 percent for the first 36 months of the car loan term.

The Norwegian importer currently has 11 new cars in stock, with price tags between 1.1 and 1.6 million kroner. This corresponds to 1 million Danish kroner for the most expensive car.

The Air comes in four different versions: Pure, Touring, Grand Touring and Sapphire. The Sapphire is clearly the most exciting because it propels itself from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds and continues on to a top speed of 322 km/h.

The price is also not to be mistaken. In Norway, the importer wants the equivalent of 1.8 million kroner for the car. But then the car cannot be stuffed with more equipment from the factory.

And yet. But if you want a Sapphire that is armored, you have to pay someone else for it. Read more about that car here .

Lucid is generally challenged. Also at home in the US, where the director has just quit. Officially to retire, but the announcement came very out of the blue. In fact, so much so that there was speculation afterwards whether he was asked to leave. So a regular firing.

The remaining management hopes that they can turn things around with a new and cheaper SUV called Gravity, which will have up to seven seats and – Lucid promises – a lot of buttons instead of touchscreens.

Last year, Lucid built a total of 9,029 cars, while delivering a total of 10,241 cars to customers around the world. Yet it lost $400 million during the year.

In comparison, Ferrari, which sells roughly the same number of cars per year, delivered a profit per car of more than 1 million kroner. Av…
