Danish Tesla owners are now being subjected to vandalism

The wave of vandalism that has been directed directly at Tesla's stores, charging stations and factories abroad is now hitting Danish drivers.

Tesla owners in Denmark have been subjected to vandalism. On Monday night, symbols and text were spray-painted on the sidewalk in front of several homes in Dragor.

According to AmagerLiv and DR, among other things, "Proud Swastika owner" has been written in Danish, translated to "Proud Svatikabilejer" in front of homes where Tesla owners live.

In addition, Tesla's logo has been changed by adding eagle wings, reminiscent of the national symbol of Nazism.

The swastika, which is often associated with Nazi movements in the West, is also part of the vandalism painted on cars and streets.

Pictures of the painted symbols and texts have been shared in the Facebook group 'DragorNyheder'.

Dragor Municipality has responded by reporting the incident to the police after several citizens experienced symbols being sprayed on the sidewalk near their homes.

Vandalism against Tesla owners is not the way to do it

Copenhagen Police have not provided further information about the case, but Dragor's mayor, Kenneth Gotterup (K), has commented on it publicly.

He has written about the incidents on Facebook, and here he strongly distances himself from the vandalism that Tesla owners are subjected to.

– We should in no way accept this, and I deeply distance myself from this way of acting.

– If you have something on your mind, officially enter the public debate, instead of acting like this and hiding, he writes.

It is still unclear whether the vandalism was carried out by individuals or an organized group.

The case is being investigated by the police, while the affected areas in Dragor will require cleanup after the incident.

On the other side of the Atlantic, however, you can't just stick to graffiti and Nazi symbolism. Three times in just one week, several Tesla charging stations have been set on fire.

The most recent incident occurred in the town of Littleton in the state of Massachusetts. Here, both authorities and Tesla are convinced that the fire was arson.

Especially because none of the charging stations were in use when the fire broke out.
