According to the Abt family, one or more thieves were involved. They took valuables worth over 300,000 euros, an amount equivalent to 2.2 million Danish kroner.
Daniel Abt writes that the thieves, in order to hide, cut power lines, so that the tuner's surveillance systems and lights around the headquarters were disconnected.
According to the company, the theft occurred late Sunday night. In total, wheels, carbon fiber brakes and other expensive carbon fiber parts were stolen from the cars.
This is not the first time that car companies have been hit by theft.
While it is still unclear which cars the thieves went after besides the RS 6, which Daniel Abt shows a picture of on his social media, it is clear that they went after the most easily accessible and immediately most expensive parts on the cars.
According to the tuning company, which also runs racing events, the local police are already involved in the case. However, there is a high risk that the very expensive parts are already over the moon.
Daniel Abt is also upset about the theft. Because there is always someone who pays the bill. Even if the whole thing has been reported to the insurance company, which covers the loss.
– Either you have to pay an increased premium yourself or there are some problems with the insurance company.
– But even if we get the parts back, it won't do us any good. The brakes, for example, may have small tears in them, making them unusable for safety reasons, says the director.
