Ferrari pays out huge bonus to 5,000 employees

After a record financial year, 5,000 employees were able to pocket a cash bonus of more than DKK 100,000 from Ferrari.

Ferrari has paid out a cash bonus to more than 5,000 employees. Each employee received 14,400 euros. This corresponds to 107,000 kroner.

And not only that. The bonus is over 900 euros higher than what Ferrari employees were paid for good work in 2023.

The bonus flew into the employees' pockets after the car brand from Maranello delivered a profit that exceeded expectations in 2024.

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna announced the bonus on Tuesday, ANSA reports.

This comes after Ferrari's net profit rose by 21 percent in 2024 to 1.53 billion euros. Ferrari had already had a record year on the bottom line in 2023.

As a result of the significant profits, it is expected that Ferrari will revise its goals for 2025. So with a positive sign.

In connection with the publication of the accounts, Vigna confirmed that six new Ferrari models will be launched this year, including Ferrari's first fully electric car.

– We have never talked about an electric transition, but about a supplement, said Vigna.

– We are not leaving anything to replace it with something else. But we are adding the fully electric model to the gasoline and hybrid cars. We are continuing as planned.

Ferrari's Formula One team has been strengthened by the arrival of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton ahead of the 2025 season.

The news of the change also caused the brand's share price to rise by more than 10 percent on the New York Stock Exchange, a record for the brand's stock.

Following the news, Ferrari's total value increased by almost $7 billion. How much Hamilton received for the move to Maranello has not yet been revealed.

Whether the fast Briton is worth the money, we will have to wait a little longer to conclude anything. Hamilton is currently engaged in an extensive testing program for the season with Ferrari.

The first grand prix with LH44 in the field is at the season opener in Australia on March 16 at Albert Park.
