Volvo engulfed in flames – celebrity could have been killed

Finnish comedian and TV star Jukka Hildén, best known in Denmark for The Dudesons, lost his Volvo XC90 in a sea of flames on Tuesday.

It could have cost Finnish celebrity Chachi Hildén her life when her Volvo XC90 burned down this week.

Chachi Hildén, a well-known face in Finland, shared her thoughts on the dramatic experience on Instagram.

She said her thought was to get her family out of the car as quickly as possible.

"My first thought was to get my family out as quickly as possible. I left all my things in the car, including my phone, so if anyone tries to reach me, I'm currently unreachable," Chachi wrote in her Instagram story, according to Ilta-Sanomat .

Her husband, Jukka Hildén, known from the stunt group "Dudesons", was not in the car when it started burning. However, he arrived at the scene shortly afterwards.

The fire broke out in Lauttasaari, an area of Helsinki, and the fire department was immediately called in. Pictures on social media show that the XC90 was completely burned out.

Jukka Hildén told the Helsingin Sanomat newspaper that he was at the scene of the fire and that it was an emergency. He added that the car burst into flames while his wife was behind the wheel.

"The car burst into flames under the intersection," Finnish TV personality Jukka Hildén told the Helsingin Sanomat newspaper.

At that point, the car was still on fire. Later on Instagram, the Dudeson member assured his followers that everyone was unharmed. But that it was a shocking experience for the entire family.

– Everyone is safe and okay but understandably a little shaken. Big thanks to the fire department, the police and the helpful passersby who provided warm clothes for the children and were helpful at the fire scene, Jukka Hildén posted on Instagram.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. However, it has received a lot of attention in Finland, especially on social media. Many have expressed their relief that no one was injured.

This isn't the first time a newer Volvo has gone up in smoke. Back in July 2024, a British man was burned while trying to rescue his grandson from a burning hybrid car from the same brand. The car was brand new. Read more about it here .
