75-year-old reports camera trap to the police – "It's attempted murder"

A 75-year-old man believes that he was so blinded by the flash of a camera trap that it can be compared to attempted murder. He has therefore reported the camera trap to the police.

In Sweden, one of the police's camera traps has been reported for attempted murder.

The report comes from a 75-year-old man who believes that he was so blinded by the flash from the speed camera that it was actually an attempted murder.

This is written by Östersunds-Posten .

From the newspaper's information, it is not clear whether the driver has yet heard anything about his speed. But at least he is very unhappy with the photographic equipment.

– I have had a driving license for 56 years, and this is so far the worst incident I have experienced with my 130,000 kilometers on Swedish and European roads, says the man.

According to the driver, being caught by a speed camera like that feels like "attempted murder" and a "near-death experience".

In Sweden, however, the police do not intend to do anything about the case. At least not the part the older driver will complain about. He should probably have the box sent, the police believe.

– We are not starting an investigation into this, says a spokesman from the police in Östersund.

Conversely, it is not the first time that a camera trap causes problems and anger. In Italy, a people unknown men have become known as fleximen after the Italian word for angle grinder, flessibile.

The hooded types simply cut down the speed cameras. Often it happens under the cover of night. In the local community, however, there are divided opinions about the men's actions. Some pay tribute to them, while others see it as petty vandalism.

On social media, the men, who are said not to be organized in one or more groups, but act on their own, have been given their own hashtag. Read more about it here .
