2 out of 3 people have a negative view of Tesla – Musk is to blame

In the electric car paradise of Norway, 2 out of 3 drivers now view Tesla more negatively than before, according to a new survey. Elon Musk is to blame.

Elon Musk's political positions and actions may have damaged Tesla's reputation in the electric car paradise, Norway.

In any case, Norwegians' view of Tesla has deteriorated significantly after Musk's political statements. This could have major consequences for Tesla.

Electric cars, and especially Tesla, have long been popular in Norway. Tesla has even been the best-selling car in Norway for several years. By 2024, every fifth car sold in Norway was a Tesla.

But now a new study shows that Norwegians' view of Tesla has become more negative. This is largely due to Elon Musk's political involvement.

The survey shows that a large majority of Norwegians have gained a worse view of Tesla. Only a few percent have gained a more positive view of Tesla. The vast majority have either gained a more negative view, or have an unchanged view of Tesla.

Nora Clausen, a senior advisor at Opinion, believes that it is a storm that is only growing stronger.

– Tesla has been a popular car in Norway. But Musk's controversial statements have created a storm that seems to be gathering momentum, reads a press release.

Previous studies have also shown that many Norwegians have gained a poorer view of Tesla due to Musk's political involvement.

Clausen believes that the Norwegian market can be a sign of how other markets will react to Tesla in the future.

– If the Norwegian Tesla market is a signal about how international markets will think of Tesla in the future, there is little doubt that Musk has managed to do significant damage to Tesla's reputation.

The survey also indicates that many Norwegians believe that interest in buying Tesla will decrease in the future. At the same time, they predict that Tesla's share value will decrease.
