Polestar introduces a new variant of their electric SUV range with the Polestar 3 Long Range Single Motor. At the lowest price so far for the large 3 model.
This new model, which can now be ordered in Europe, starts at DKK 675,000 including delivery costs. Orders from North America and Australia will follow later in 2024. Polestar writes and continues:
The new Polestar 3 Long Range Single Motor is designed to offer a more affordable entry into the Polestar 3 range, while still delivering a range of luxury features and technologies. This variant uses the same 111 kWh battery pack as the Dual Motor models and has a maximum DC charging capacity of 250 kW, enabling charging from 10-80% in approximately 30 minutes.
"With the Polestar 3 Long Range Single Motor, we can offer our electric flagship SUV at a lower price, while the rear-wheel drive configuration maintains our performance DNA," says Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar.
This model is equipped with an engine that drives the rear axle and delivers 220 kW and 490 Nm of torque. This results in an acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.

Despite the reduced engine output compared to the Dual Motor variants, the Long Range Single Motor model maintains the same performance characteristics and comfort levels thanks to the passive chassis with Hydraulic Rebound Stops (HRS) and Frequency Selective Damping (FSD).
The Polestar 3 Long Range Single Motor, produced in both China and the USA, offers a range of up to 650 km (WLTP), making it the most efficient model in the Polestar 3 range. This model also comes with Brembo brakes, which are standard across the range.
The new model is part of the MY25 series and offers customers greater customization. Customers can choose from six exterior colors, five interior designs and four different rims, including a new 21-inch alloy wheel that is part of the new Pro package.
In addition, the Pilot package with LiDAR from Luminar is also available, increasing the safety and convenience of users.
