Lamborghini's technical director Rouven Mohr sees no point in letting future electric cars imitate petrol cars, there are other things that are more important, he says.
Lamborghini is not going to do like Hyundai and pump fake engine noise and artificial gear changes into electric cars.
In fact, Lamborghini's technical director Rouven Mohr promises that the Italian part of the Volkswagen group will refrain from this kind of thing.
The words fell in a recent interview with British Top Gear Magazine .
– When it comes to character, there are other ways to define it (a car, ed.). I think we have some pretty cool ideas.

– In the course of the next year or two, we will be ready to show some of them. But it is far from being something about the time from 0 to 100 km/h. Because it is not something that is entertaining (longer, ed.), says Rouven Mohr about Lamborghini's plans.
It is – no matter how you twist and turn Rouven Mohr's words – a reasonably brave statement to make. Especially when you take into account the fact how much speed and the feeling of speed are still connected to driving a car.
On the other hand, it is not at all certain that Lamborghini will go out with a sea of electric cars and electrification. At least not at any price. Most recently, the brand's chief executive Stephan Winkelmann has expressed doubts about how much the electric cars will actually succeed.
