New electric car costs less than 46,000 kroner from new

It may only have 41 horsepower, but the new Panda Mini, made by the Geely group, costs less than 46,000 kroner new.

Geely is renewing the Chinese Panda Mini. The small electric car with 41 horsepower costs less than DKK 46,000 and is designed for city driving in China.

Geely presents a renewed Panda Mini EV. It is a small electric car from Volvo's sister brand. The price is set significantly low, under 46,000 Danish kroner based on the Swedish price of 70,000 SEK.

The compact electric car is equipped with a 41 horsepower electric motor. The battery pack has a capacity of 17 kWh.

The range is stated at 210 kilometers. This is calculated from Chinese test cycles and is considered sufficient for city driving.

The Geely Panda Mini EV is specifically designed for urban areas. Its size and range are best suited for shorter trips in dense traffic. The car is only a little over three meters long.

Despite the low price, the car comes with modern equipment. An 8-inch touchscreen is standard in the cabin.

Who buys a Geely Panda Mini?

The updated model is available in multiple colors. Buyers can choose from Puff Pink, Rolling White, Bamboo Green, and Warm Rice.

Geely has showcased the car in major European cities such as London and Paris, using imaginative settings to generate attention.

However, sales are currently limited to the Chinese market, with no current plans for a launch in Europe.

The car represents a counterpoint to the trend of large, heavy electric cars. Many electric SUVs weigh over 2.5 tons, which can be impractical in the city.

The previous version of the Geely Panda Mini EV has proven popular in China, with over 284,000 units sold in just two years.

Specifications and equipment of the Panda Mini EV

Geely Auto, the car's manufacturer, is part of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. They also own Volvo Cars and other car brands.

The car's primary target audience is urban residents in China, who are looking for a simple and inexpensive means of transportation for daily use.

The 41 horsepower engine and 17 kWh battery provide limited performance. Acceleration and top speed are adapted to city driving.

The range of 210 kilometers covers the daily driving needs of many in the city. Charging is expected to primarily take place at home or at a charging station with modest power out in the city.

The central 8-inch screen brings together many of the car's functions. This contributes to a tidy and simple dashboard.

The Geely Panda Mini EV focuses on one thing: basic transportation. Nothing more, nothing less. Buyers shouldn't expect great comfort or anything else.

Even though the Geely Panda Mini EV is not coming to Denmark right now, Boosted.dk is following the development closely. You can find news about other small electric cars. Even when things go completely wrong and end up in something that smells like bankruptcy. Read more about it here .
