Volvo is also dropping the T designation. It has until now been found on cars with a combustion engine in an attempt to help customers find out whether they had spent money on the full-size model or a more modest version.

Volvo are not the only ones who have recently had an internal numerologist to clean up the model range. Mercedes already said last year that it wanted to get rid of certain model names. Read more about it here .
