That may be very smart right now. But the question is what Brandon Dalaly will do with his 'cyborg'-like hand when he no longer owns his Tesla.
A Tesla owner in Detroit has taken an unconventional step to avoid forgetting his car keys. He has had the key to his Tesla implanted in his hand.
Brandon Dalaly, the Tesla owner from Detroit, paid $400 to have his key card chip implanted in his right hand.
He shared the "news" in a video on X. Here you can see how Dalaly unlocks his car. No more key cards or an app on the phone.
The video has received quite a few reactions, and one of the most asked questions is: "What happens when you sell your car?".
However, Dalaly has taken this into account, as the chip is not tied to a specific car. He can therefore reprogram it if he buys a new Tesla.
However, this raises two more questions. First, what if he decides to buy a car that isn't a Tesla?
And secondly, what if Tesla changes the key card system and replaces it with something else?
According to Supercarblondie.com, attempts have been made to get a response from the Tesla owner, but he has not yet responded to the people behind the site.
The top executive at Tesla also didn't have much to say about the expensive operation. Dalaly tagged Elon Musk in his post on X, but the Tesla director hasn't responded to the video.
This is unusual, as Musk often interacts with people writing about Tesla on X, both known and unknown.
Perhaps even Elon Musk was surprised by this Tesla owner's unconventional solution to the problem. At least now Dalaly never forgets his car keys.
