Tesla itself believes it was vandalism when one of the car brand's charging parks in Littleton, Massachusetts, was attempted to be burned down.
Several Tesla Supercharger charging stations were burned down in Littleton, Massachusetts, on Tuesday night. This is the third time a Tesla charging station has been vandalized in a week.
The car brand has already responded, believing it to be vandalism. Tesla also said that the damaged chargers will be replaced within 48 hours.
The police and fire department also currently believe that the fires were arson.
They believe this, among other things, because Tesla can prove that none of the charging stations were in use when the fires broke out.
This is reported by ABC News .
– Officers on scene observed several Tesla charging stations engulfed in flames and developing a heavy, black plume, Littleton police said.
This is the third time in a week that a Tesla charging park has been set on fire.
Tesla also had to move out new charging stations just a week ago. Here, Nazi symbols had been painted on at least one charging station. Just as a Cybertruck had been attempted to be vandalized.
Tesla already said at the time that it would prosecute those behind the vandalism. According to Carscoops, however, this requires the police to find one or more perpetrators first.
The vandalism directed at Tesla is not an isolated American phenomenon, however. It also happens on our side of the Atlantic.
As recently as last week, an activist group claimed responsibility for an arson attack on Tesla's factory on the outskirts of Berlin.
And this week, a so-called Tesla Hub, where the cars are delivered to customers, was attempted to burn down.
Back in the US, the attack on Tesla charging stations in Littleton is the third in just one week. Among other things, police have managed to arrest a person who was sneaking around with 'explosives' outside a Tesla store.
