The price of oil has risen by 17 percent in the past three months, something that has been seen in fuel prices since the New Year. Now analysts have more bad news.
Danish motorists have been paying expensive fines for both petrol and diesel since the New Year. And it's not just because a now 15-year-old political agreement has put additional tax on the fuel.
The price of oil has generally risen sharply. And now an analyst is warning that there are no better times in sight in terms of cheaper fuel.

– We see the ongoing Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries, the Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea and a general feeling that the Middle East is less stable than a year ago, says Richard Bronze, geopolitical head at the research firm Energy Aspects, to the media .

On top of a less stable Middle East, you have to add the fact that, among other things, American oil production is lower than expected, Richard Bronze believes.
At home, a liter of petrol now costs almost 16 kroner, while a corresponding liter of diesel hovers just under 14 kroner.
However, it is still a good distance from the level of the summer of 2022, when fuel prices went crazy. Here, the Danes paid up to DKK 20 per liter in periods, regardless of whether they filled up with diesel or petrol.
However, we have to go all the way to Sweden to find a solution. Last year, the Swedes decided to lower the taxes on petrol and diesel to the EU's minimum level. This means that the price will also fall next year. Read more about it here .
