It doesn't exactly sit well with Fisker. Production has been at a standstill for six weeks, and now a media outlet is writing that the car brand has 'forgotten' to take payment for a number of cars.
It doesn't exactly sit well with Fisker. In fact, things are going so badly that production is at a standstill, there are 5,000 cars that cannot be sold, and trading in the stock is suspended.
But that's not all. At least not if you ask a number of sources TechCrunch has spoken to.
The sources, who wished to remain anonymous, paint a picture of a car brand that has very little control over its bookkeeping. If there is any control at all.
In any case, the sources say that Fisker has delivered a number of cars, for which the car brand has never asked for payment. And that, of course, without the 'free' cars having been part of any agreement with Fisker in particular.

It was only when Fisker reshuffled internally and quickly got some sales staff over to the accounting department that they allegedly succeeded in finding most of the cars. Most, not all.
A source that TechCrunch has spoken to says that Fisker did not just forget to send payment collections, but directly disregarded the customers' money.
The car brand has simply not – and this is what the source says in several cases – raised the money. Last year around November, Fisker also admitted that they had 'found problems' in the accounting department.
Since then, the car brand has both had to see its share price go almost to zero, production halted again and customers flee. Something that has meant, among other things, that Fisker has fired 15 percent of all employees. Read more about it here .
