With a new 40,000 m² headquarters in Rorup, FTZ strengthens logistics and brings together some functions in one place. Advanced technology and sustainable solutions will streamline operations in the future.
After several years of planning and construction, FTZ today takes over the keys to their new headquarters in Rorup on Funen.
The building is one of the largest investments in the company's history and forms the framework for administration, logistics and innovation.
FTZ, Denmark's largest supplier of spare parts to the automotive industry, has long needed more space. The new 40,000 square meter building is part of a strategy to streamline operations and ensure a more sustainable future.
With modern facilities and an advanced logistics system, it is expected that FTZ can optimize its processes and improve service to customers.
The large logistics building of almost 34,000 square meters is equipped with a shuttle warehouse with 132 robots that can handle up to 120,000 storage spaces.
In addition, 1,800 meters of conveyor belts and 37 sorting stations have been installed, making it possible to handle orders much faster than before.
Sustainability has played a central role in the construction of the building. With a DGNB Gold certification and a 1,886 square meter solar system producing 401 kWp, the company's carbon footprint is significantly reduced.
The choice of materials and waste management systems are also designed to minimize environmental impact.
The design of the headquarters reflects FTZ's vision of collaboration and development. It brings together departments such as sales, IT, HR, marketing and logistics, and the FTZ Academy will have modern training facilities. The aim is to create a better framework for knowledge sharing and innovation.
The move will take place in several stages. The administration is expected to be in place in April, while the central warehouse will move between March and June. The local warehouse in Odense will move in August-September.
With the new headquarters, FTZ looks forward to a future where technology and sustainability go hand in hand. The investment will not only streamline workflows, but also ensure that FTZ remains a unifying actor in the automotive industry.
