The Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix will disappear from Bellahoj after 2025.
The Municipality of Copenhagen has just decided to erect permanent bumps and traffic barriers in the area around Bellahoj, which will make it impossible to hold the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix.
This is what DR.dk writes.
For more than a decade, Bellahoj has formed the setting for one of Denmark's largest racing races, but now it's over.
A majority at Copenhagen City Hall has decided to permanently change the road conditions in the area, putting an end to the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix after this year's edition in August.
The race has attracted thousands of motorsports fans every year since 2013, but the new infrastructure with bumps and traffic barriers makes it impossible, according to the municipality, to continue the event at Bellahoj.
The race has previously received criticism from local residents, who have complained about noise pollution during the event.
Now the 2025 edition will be the last in Copenhagen, unless the organizers find a new home for the traditional motorsport event.
