When the Z4 Concept Touring Coupé was revealed last year, BMW said that the brand was indeed considering a small but very expensive production run.
There will be no new clown forest. A spiritual successor to the BMW Z3 and Z3 M Coupé from the late 90s.
The brand otherwise played with the idea when the Germans showed the Z4 Concept Touring Coupé to the public last year.
At the time, the Germans said that serial production was not being considered at all. Instead, pieces and sheet metal parts would be found – perhaps – enough for exactly 50 cars.
But now the brand itself is shooting down that idea again. Rumor had it that BMW intended to charge outrageous sums for each individual car.

Somewhere right around the 230,000 euros or what corresponds to a good 1.71 million kroner, the rumor said. Again – it is completely without registration fee and the price per car.
Exactly why BMW shelved the idea is not known. But the decision allegedly comes from the very top of the management corridors in Munich.
It is conceivable, however, that the interest has not been great enough for the bosses to give the project the last green light. Therefore, the car will also be a rear-wheel drive drom with a three-litre inline six. Presumably!
The brand from Munich is certainly neither the first nor the only one to have buried the dream of a concept car. For example, Hyundai has aired the idea of a supercar several times. And at least as many times declared the idea dead. Read more about it here .
